What is Cosine?
Cosine is one of the six trigonometric functions. Other trigonometric functions are Sine, Tangent, Secant, Cosecant, and Cotangent.
Cosine is defined as the ratio of the adjacent (Base) to the hypotenuse for any right-angled triangle. Cosine is abbreviated as “Cos” and its function is named the Cos-function.
Cosine Formula
The mathematical form of cos formula with angle “θ” is stated as:
Cos(θ) = Adjacent/Hypotenuse
Where “θ” shows the angle value, which is commonly represented by the Greek symbols “α, β, and γ”.
