What is Cosine?
Cosine is one common periodic functions from six trigonometry functions. Other trigonometric functions are Sine, Tangent, Secant, Cosecant, and Cotangent.
Cosine is defined as the ratio of the adjacent (Base) to the hypotenuse for any right-angled triangle and is known as the complement of the sine. Cosine is shortly written as “Cos” and its function is named as the Cos-function.
Cosine Formula
The mathematical form of cos formula with angle “θ” is stated as:
Cos(θ) = Adjacent/Hypotenuse
Where “θ” shows the angle value, which is commonly represented by the Greek symbols “α, β, and γ”.
